What is the PGA of America's PGA Golf Management University Program?

The PGA Golf Management Program is a four to five year structure educational program designed for aspiring PGA Professionals. The college curriculum is accredited by the PGA of America and includes extensive classroom studies, internship experience and player development providing students the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for the success on the golf industry. Since its inception, over 3,750 graduates are current PGA of America members.


Curriculum

Students attending a PGA Golf Management University Program can graduate with a baccalaureate degree in several majors including Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or Recreation, Park and Tourism Management.**

In additional to classroom studies, each student is required to complete approved internships totaling 16 months at golf industry locales. Students also are required to complete all requirements to The PGA of America's Professional Golf Management (PGM) Program and pass the PGA Playing Ability Test (PAT). These requirements satisfy a major portion of The PGA of America's membership requirements.


Entrance Requirements

Each university has specific entrance requirements. Please contact the university of your choice to request information and schedule a campus visit. Enrollment will be limited to 400 total students at each university at any given time, with a limit of 100 students per incoming class.

Each university offers financial assistance to deserving students through scholarships, work-study programs, loans and grants. All student-aid inquires should be made directly to the respective university's financial aid office.
